Hoppy offering brewed w/Goldings, Spalt, Hallertau & Saaz hops. Gently bitter, dry and subtle. Not extreme, just delicious. 8%

from a tiny “house brewery” new to Hopleaf! This tripel is yeasty, mildly tart and citric, and assertively hopped. 7.5%

Pils
Typifies the very dry style of Pils made in Germany’s far north. Emphatic hop aroma, a dry start and a long bitter finish. Like most beers sold in green bottles, Jever is better represented on draft where the beer is fully protected from the skunk producing UV rays. 4.9%
Bière de Miel
In 1920, Louis Dupont’s father bought him the Rimaux-Deridder farmhouse brewery, renowned for its honey beer. 80 years later, Louis’ heirs revived the style. Bottle-conditioned; delicately honey-scented balanced by a dry palate. 8%
Dubbel 8
Deep dark ruby-hued. Rich, big, fruity & maltyw/chocolatey notes & toffeeish sweetness. Yeast & dry wood/ smoke & spicy alcohol in the finish. Grows even better as it warms. 8%

Festina Peche
At a mere 8 IBU, this is an easy drinker in a neo- Berliner Weisse Style. A bit on the sour side, it has the addition of crushed peaches substituting for the syrups traditionally added to Berliner Weiss when served. 4.5%
Gueuze Fond Tradition
A Hopleaf exclusive Michael discovered while touring the brewery awhile back. Very tart & authentic classic gueuze—30% wheat, 70% barley—spontaneously fermented, oak-aged to perfection. 5%
Saissonniere
An easy drinking farmhouse style ale w/notes of honey, lemon & cloves. Great w/food; low enough in alcohol for an extended session. 6%

From a brewery better known here for beer at the extremes, a balanced, easy-drinking and traditional British style pale ale. Nice malt and subtle hops (Magnum and Ahtanum) make this food- friendly and a nice session ale. 6.9%

Mahogany-colored, rich-tasting & complex. 8%
BPA
Belgian Pale Ale! Cascade dry-hopped Belgian-style pale. Very food-friendly & easy-drinking yet complex, w/notes of clove, citrus & yeast. Part of a brewery test marketing scheme to find a flagship draft offering. Chicago is lucky to be testing this one! 6.2%
White
Traditional Belgian-style wheat beer, light & slightly cloudy w/a blend of spices. 5.5%
Cuvèe des Jacobins Rouge
Tart, complex red ale from the family-owned, independent West Flanders brewery. Notes of sour cherry, tart apple & vinegar. 5.5%
Framboise
Whole fresh raspberries added to young lambic provides seasoning & sparks another fermentation, yielding great complexity. The acidity of champagne, bouquet & delicate flavor of raspberries, balanced by almondy dryness. 6%
De Koninck
Served in its unique goblet, a “bolleke”, this ale is brewed w/pilsner malts & Saaz hops over direct flame in cast iron kettles. Very refreshing! 5%
Kwak
Brewed by Bosteels. Named for innkeeper Pauwel Kwak, who brewed his own beer. A deep amber beer w/an earthy aroma; hearty & warming. 9%
Dortmunder Gold
Smooth lager w/more body & less hops than a pilsner, less malt & more hops than a Munich-style lager. A great “session beer”. 5.8%
Steam
A true original, steam beer lies somewhere between ale & lager. Unique combination of flavors, well-hopped w/a pleasantly malty character. 5%
Prima Pils
With German pilsner malt and Czech & German hops. Classic European pilsner, made in USA. 5.3%
Daisy Cutter Pale Ale
Aromatic American Pale all the way from Lincoln Ave. Hops are huge on the nose & linger in the finish.
